ACN will rule Nigeria in 2015, says Aregbesola

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, yesterday said that the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, would wrestle power from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the national level come 2015.
Aregbesola, who said this while speaking at the 74th birthday anniversary and conferment of award of excellence by the state chapter of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, on the National Chairman of the ACN, Chief Bisi Akande in Ila- Orangun, said the party has formidable political structure to outsmart the ruling party.
The state governor said this is possible because “PDP members are permanently at war with each other, with the leadership seat as unstable as the sea. If they are not in court challenging their leaders, members are formed into factions openly defying their leaders and their party.”
He said the opposition parties have resolved to battle the PDP to a standstill in the 2015 general elections, adding that “a party in disarray cannot govern a country like ours.”
Also speaking at the event, former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, said the honour done Chief Akande has vindicated him of the insinuations by his critics, who ventured into media propaganda to attack his administration when he was the governor of the state.
“Despite such virulent criticisms, he remained resolute and focused in office, adding “I am a devout Muslim since birth and I have never belonged to any secret cult.”
