Holidaying Governor Chime Is Back

After spending more than four months out of Nigeria,  the governor of Enugu State Mr Sullivan Chime arrived Abuja this morning aboard a British Airways flight.

According to a reliable source, the aircraft touched down this morning shortly before 6:00am. Chime left Nigeria more than four months on consolidated vacation but insiders said it was due an undisclosed ailment, fuelling speculation about his health.

A source in state government house confided in our correspondent that plans are underway for an elaborate reception for the returning governor, right from the Akanu Ibiam airport, Enugu where top state government dignitaries, traditional rulers and other eminent personalities are billed to welcome him later today, Chime is expected to depart Abuja for Enugu State later in the day.
